DRAGON HOSE™ Stabilizers are installed in a deliberate pattern along the hose. Each Stabilizer adds controlled stiffness between floats, while an 18–24 inch Rotation Zone preserves a section of bare hose where rotation can occur.

This is the easiest way to understand the design: the Stabilizers work together like a Dragon Spine. The spine adds structure without making the entire hose rigid.

System logic: stabilize the hose where twisting and bending need control, but leave the Rotation Zone free so the system can move.

Step 1 — Install the first Stabilizer

Start from the cleaner side. Snap a Stabilizer onto the hose and position it between two floats.

Step 2 — Create the Rotation Zone

Leave 18–24 inches of bare hose. Do not block this zone.

Step 3 — Install remaining Stabilizers

Continue the pattern through the hose: FLOAT → STABILIZER → FLOAT.

FAQ

Questions buyers should not have to guess.

Will Stabilizers fit my hose and cleaner?

The current design is for pressure-side cleaner hoses measuring approximately 0.75–0.79 inches outside diameter. Measure the hose outside diameter before ordering. It is not intended for suction-side corrugated hoses.

Where do the Stabilizers go?

Snap each Stabilizer onto the feed hose and position it between two existing hose floats. Follow the full installation diagram rather than placing every Stabilizer in one continuous section.

Why do I need 18–24 inch Rotation Zones?

These deliberate sections of bare hose allow rotation to occur instead of transferring all twisting forces into the stabilized sections. Keep both Rotation Zones clear as shown in the installation guide.

Might I need extra hose floats?

Yes. Correct installation depends on having floats available on both sides of each Stabilizer. If your hose does not have enough correctly positioned floats, additional compatible hose floats may be needed.

Should I buy the 7-Pack or 10-Pack?

As a general guide: use 5–7 Stabilizers for hoses under 20 feet and 7–10 Stabilizers for 20–30 foot hoses. Deep pools may need 1–2 additional Stabilizers above the backup valve.

Will Stabilizers restrict cleaner movement?

No, when installed with the required Rotation Zones. The system adds controlled structure while leaving intentional bare-hose sections for rotation and normal cleaner travel.

What should I do if the hose still tangles?

Confirm hose diameter and condition, verify every Stabilizer is between floats, and recheck both 18–24 inch Rotation Zones. Then make small positioning adjustments during the first week or two. Replace worn hose sections or swivels if they are no longer rotating freely.
